STATEMENT OF WORK - UPDATED JULY 13, 2012
LIQUID NITROGEN AND LIQUID ARGON CONTRACT REQUIREMENT
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
• Liquid nitrogen shall be delivered to the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) once per week on Tuesday of each week. Delivery shall be made on Wednesday of each week if Tuesday is a federal holiday. Liquid nitrogen shall be introduced directly into the bulk liquid nitrogen storage tank at USUHS until tank is full.
• Liquid nitrogen shall be delivered to the Armed Forces Radiobiological Research Institute (AFRRI) once per week on Tuesday of each week. Delivery shall be made on Wednesday if Tuesday is a federal holiday. Liquid nitrogen shall be introduced directly into the bulk liquid nitrogen storage tank at AFRRI until tank is full.
• Liquid Argon shall be delivered to AFRRI in Dewar tanks on a call-in basis. AFRRI points of contact, provided at award, will place individual requests and identify days of delivery. Deliveries are not to exceed 12 within the specified contract year. Delivery also includes removal of used gas Dewar tank. Containers will be 180 liter tanks.
• At award all Liquid Nitrogen and Liquid Argon delivery tickets for both activities will be provided to the USUHS and AFRRI points of contact.
PRODUCT COST ESTIMATES
Liquid Nitrogen: 130,000 liters (Estimated annual usage) Liquid Argon: 2,160 liters (Estimated annual usage) or 12 tanks per year
SERVICES
Liquid Nitrogen Telemetry (12 Months) – USUHS Liquid Nitrogen Telemetry (12 Months) – AFRRI
Liquid Argon Container Rentals for 12 months. Containers will be 180 liters.
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE
Base Year: 11 Aug 2012 to 10 Aug 2013 Option Year I: 11 Aug 2013 to 10 Aug 2014 Option Year II: 11 Aug 2014 to 10 Aug 2015
