14. DESCRIPTION OF AMENDMENT/MODIFICATION (Organized by UCF section headings, including solicitation/contract subject matter where feasible.)
A. The purpose of this amendment is to respond to questions asked by industry.
1. Question: Could you please refresh my memory regarding the solicitation? Answer: The purpose of this solicitation is to provide the Federal Protective Service (FPS) a contract for threat assessment interviewing techniques and assessment training. The anticipated type of contract is an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract. The guaranteed minimum under the contract is $5,000.00. Funding for individual classes will be provided by task orders issued against the contract.
2. Question: I had a quick question in regards to the proposal that I wanted to clarify.

threat assessment training classes, correct?
Answer: The Line Items (Clins) 0001 - 0004, and associated option line items, associated with the SF 1449 lists the locations where training may take place under the contract. Based on budget and a changing mission requirement, FPS cannot say with certainty how many classes it will order and where those classes will be. FPS will order at least one class. Additional classes will be ordered by task order. Each task order will list the location for the class.
3. Question: I just wanted to clarify that each of those training classes would be three (3) days in length for a total of sixteen (16) hours. Can you please confirm? Answer: As stated in the SOW, Section 1.9 - Schedule, each class will be three days in length and consist of 16 hours of training.
3(a) Note: Replace the first line of Section
1.9 - Schedule to read, Each class shall be three days in length.
3(b) Replace the schedule listed under Section
1.9.1 with the following table:
Training Days Number of Hours Day One 2 Day Two 7 Day Three 7 Total 16
4. Question: Am I being asked to submit prices for each 16 hour block of classes including all travel expenses or am I supposed to price the cost of all classes over a 5 year period? Since I live in the DC area, the price of travel to Glynco, GA. would be very different than travel to Cheltenham, MD. How do I account for that?
Answer: FPS recognizes that the cost for one location may be different than the cost for another. This is why FPS has requested a price for each location. When a task order is placed, it will be based on the cost associated with a particular training location.
5. Question: The solicitation seems to indicate (1.9.2) that the first class needs to occur by September 30, 2011. That would be logistically Continued ...
