Questions submitted by interested vendors are in italic. Answers are in blue font.

1. How many different products will be involved for labeling? Do you mean how many types of labels? The labels should mirror the examples we provided. Three different magnetic label sizes total. The differences are the arrows that go up, down, or side to side.

2. Do you have any idea of the quantity mix of these products? The solicitation does not provide a way of calculating print production runs for the various labels required. The mix is defined in the layout diagram that shows how to apply them as well as an Excel Spreadsheet we will provide the vendor upon award. The only way to calculate is to look at the rack diagram and divide by pallet positions.

3. Since the contractor is required to make arrangements for lifts at each location except Atlanta and Frederick, and due to time constraints to submit a quote, will the government reimburse the contractor for expenses incurred if rental of lifts is required at the other locations? These costs should be included in the Installation CLINs prices.

4. How much time will the contractor be allowed for installation of the labels at each location? Frederick is the critical site where there is a time crunch. All of Frederick needs to be installed prior to 13 Sept 2010. The remaining are expected to be completed by 31 Oct 2010.

5. For the label CLINs 0001, 0002, 0003, and 0004:

a. Are there material specifications for durability time frame, or adhesive type or finish? Adhesive labels should have permanent adhesive be applied +50 Degrees F to a clean & dry surface.

b. Are there grade requirements for the codes specified? ISO/IEC 15416 is standard.

c. Are all labels to be pre printed off site? Yes.

d. Are all labels printed in black and white? Yes - Black lettering/black bars on a white background.

e. What type of material will the adhesive be expected to stick to? Coated metal, steel.

f. In what format will data to be printed be provided in? Microsoft Excel.

g. Will the strings to be printed in the 2D code be already concatenated or will the supplier need to format the strings to be encoded? The Supplier will need to format.

6. For the CLINs 0005, 0006, and 0007:

a. Please provide the construction expected for the pouch, i.e. is it clear or opaque, self adhesive or not, meant to be a durable for a certain time frame? Clear, self-adhesive, permanent.

b. Do you have a specification for the gage of plastic? 6 to 8 gauge.

7. For all installations, CLINs 0008-0014:

a. What is the time frame required for each installation site to commence and end? Frederick needs to be installed prior to 13 Sept 2010. The remaining are expected to be completed by 31 Oct 2010.

b. How many labels are to be applied at each location? Please review the table on the SOW. Magnetic labels and their pouches are to be installed.

c. Is any physical equipment needed to install at required heights or locations? Reach lift.

d. What are the available working hours at each location? Hours vary at each site, but usually 8am to

4pm.

e. Does the quote need to be inclusive of all travel costs or are they subject to approval per site? Travel costs are to be included in the Installation CLINs.
