Amendment: 0001
Solicitation Number: HSFE70-17-R-0070
Requirement: Meals
This amendment supplements the current solicitation open for FEMA’s meals requirement.
1. FEMA’s need is to meet 32M meals in response to potential effects of Hurricane Irma.
The primary consideration will go to vendors who can supply the most number of meals per day and in total delivery.
2. While FEMA is open to accepting all types of meals, FEMA’s primary need is to fill Reduced Sodium, a 30-36 month shelf life (shelf-stable), and self-heating meal type that includes an entrée. Therefore, technical acceptability determination will be made on this type of meals initially. FEMA will consider short-shelf meals quotes as situation progresses with Hurricane Irma.
3. “Lowest Price” determination will be made on the quotes that are determined to be technically acceptable for shelf-stable meals. The government will consider meals unit price and drop trailer fee for lowest price determination.
