Questions and Answers for HSFE09-16-Q-0013
1. The Statement of Work for this job requires finishing the walls (i.e. prime and paint them) after the wallpaper removal. Are you now requesting quotes for wallpaper removal only?
a. No. The requirement has not changed; it is for wallpaper removal and finishing the walls.
2. Referring to the information to which we have access, we are unable to determine the ceiling height. Can you send us a ceiling plan or tell us the ceiling height. We need the information to determine wall heights.
a. The ceiling height is: floor to ceiling height: 8’9” and wainscoting height: 3”6”
b. However, not all areas where there are wallpaper are full height (i.e. there is wainscoting part of the way up) and there are pillars in the office that have wallpaper for removal. This is why the attendance at the site visit was encouraged.
3. Has a contractor performed similar work to this for the government in the past?
a. Wallpaper was removed in two areas under a previous contract: HSFE09-15-P-0118. The Contractor for that work was: International Construction, Inc.
4. Please confirm whether we can email the proposal to you or if a hard copy needs to be delivered to the Oakland address on the SF1442 before the due date/time.
a. Email is preferred. Can be sent to andrea.brunsman@fema.dhs.gov
