B. The remaining fire alarm system shall remain as is such as conduit, conductors, outlet boxes, control panels, annunciators, and audio/visual devices shall remain as is.

C. Devices being replaced shall be replaced in kind to include manufacturer, rating and type of device.

D. Enclosure (1) is the Official Plot Plan (Sheets 1-4) of the base provided for Reference purposes only.

E. Enclosure (2) is a 2016 Tyco Simplex Grinnell Fire Alarm Inspection Report which quantifies the different FA devices on the base by respective building. This report is for reference purposes only.

F. Enclosure (3) is a set of Reference Drawings set showing the existing base wide fire alarm system. These plans show types and locations of existing fire alarm devices. Refer to Reference Drawing Set P000367 (sheets 1-16).

G. Specification Section 28 31 73 provides additional requirements to include final testing of the base wide system leading to a final inspection and testing report.

SECTION 01 11 00 Page 2

Device type and ratings Device Manufacturer and Model Number Location (by Room) and quantities

Submit to the Contracting Officer upon completion of the Mandatory Site Visit.

B. Part 1.2 (Existing Conditions) assumes the quantities, types, and ratings reflect the existing conditions. However, if the site visit reveals a device of a different manufacturer, type or rating than was indicted, the Contractor shall document the discrepancy and provide that information to the Contracting Officer upon completion of the visit. If the discrepancy impacts the cost of the original contract, then a contract modification shall be negotiated with the Contracting Officer in writing prior to any changes being made. Part 1.2 (Existing Conditions) assumes the following which shall be field verified.

(1) Unless otherwise noted, all heat detectors are assumed to be Fixed Temperature

(135 Degree F) type. If it is discovered the heat detector is of a different type (i.e. rate of rise), document your bid price for the detector chosen which can be used to validate and change orders.

(2) Gas Detectors ratings must be field verified as this is an unknown. Document your bid price for the gas detector chosen which can be used to validate any change orders.

Chosen detector shall be of the addressable type from the manufacturer of the local FACP.

(3) Duct detectors must be field verified as the rating is unknown. Document your bid price for the gas detector chosen which can be used to validate and change orders. Chosen detector shall be of the addressable type from the manufacturer of the local FACP.
