FUSED STEP-DOWN TRANSFORMER & ABT SWITCH INSTALLATION FOR THE AFFF FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEM
A0002 ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS RECEIVED
QUESTION 1: Is there a defined part number for the fused step-down transformer?
ANSWER 1: In the TCTO, it calls for an Acme Step Down Transformer 440/120, 2KVA, fused secondary, Part Number TA-2-81219; Fuse Holder Subassembly, Part Number PL-112705; Fuse Kit, Part Number PL-112601; Transformer Enclosure, Part Number A12108CH. The USCG requires the same fit, form and operating function as the transformer and the other associated equipment listed in the TCTO.
In addition to the transformer the TCTO also calls for the following items and associated part numbers. For these parts the USCG also requires the same fit, form and operating functions as the parts listed in the following table:
ITEM DESCRIPTION
NSN/PN
Cable, Power, Electrical, LSDSGU-4
NSN: 6145-01-202-2795
Cable, Power, Electrical, LSTSGU-4
NSN: 6145-01-201-9498
Fuses
PN: ACME PL-112601
Fuse Block
PN: ACME TA-2-81219
QUESTION 2: Is there a drawing to manufacture foundations for the transformer or the ABT and if so where can I get those drawings?
ANSWER 2: The drawing needed to design the foundation is 618WMEC-122-001. This is the drawing of the structural bulkheads. Drawing is attached in Amendment 0002 for Solicitation HSCG80-13-R-P45695.
The requirements that the foundation must meet are from the specification of the ship. Listed below are the ones that would apply:
Section S11 - Page 2 of 6
All foundations shall be of a welded construction throughout and shall be designed to become an integral part of the ship’s structure. Abrupt discontinuities and voids that may prove to be inaccessible for maintenance shall be avoided.
In determining dimensions of structural details, maximum stresses of 27,000 pounds per square inch in tension and 21,000 pounds per square inch in shear shall be used for medium steel material.
The foundation must also be able to support the load of the equipment with an acceleration of:
0.25g longitudinal acceleration
0.35g transverse acceleration
1.40g vertical acceleration
All occurring simultaneously and still meet the stress requirement from above.
QUESTION 3: Clarification on proposals for Line Items 0004, 1004, 2004 and 3004 Travel and Per Diem.
ANSWER 3: Updated Blank Template for Supplies/Services and Prices/Costs is attached. New Line Items 0004A, 1004A, 2004A and 3004A are included. Your proposals will need to include the information requested in those line items. I need to know how many workers you will be sending for one task order and how many days you will need to complete one task order.
QUESTION 4: My small business status is not accurate in SAM and their Help Desk is not responsive.
ANSWER 4: If you are having issues with the SAM website showing your accurate small business status, please provide me with documentation that verifies you are currently communicating with them to update this information.
