6. Are we allowed to use Gender Neutral ballistics for all the ballistics and maybe just cut the female ballistics a bit higher under the arm pits. We have done this for the Department of State and it worked out well.

ANSWER: Yes, Gender Neutral ballistics is allowed.

7. In the SOW, it states "Panels must be suspended within the panel covering using patented “Grip-Lock” suspension system that suspends the panels up within the panel covering". Grip-Lock suspension is with Second Chance armor only from what I have researched. If that is the case, it pretty much eliminates all competition. We have several different internal suspension system options. Are we able to give you something similar?

ANSWER: Yes something similar or better will be acceptable.

8. There is no ballistic weight or thickness listed in the SOW. Is there a specific weight we need to provide or does that not matter?

ANSWER: While lighter weight vests are preferred vest weight does not account for technical acceptability.

9. Can we submit multiple options in ballistics with different pricing?

ANSWER: Only submit one offer, as this procurement is Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) if all of the submissions are deemed technically acceptable we will only chose the lowest priced option.
