Africa Center for Strategic Studies (ACSS) Interpretation Equipment to Support

Next Generation of African Military Leaders Workshop Questions and Answers

Question #1.

Plenary Room

(1) Plenary room will require setup on 01 March 2013 to be completed no later than 1700. Plenary will consist of 60 classroom style seating and 15 observer seats. Minimum of 30 tabletop microphones and 75 receivers will be necessary to complete this task order. One full size interpretation booth will be required to conduct French and English language interpretation.

However, the graphic on page 3 of the PWS shows 2 booths in the plenary room.

Could you please confirm that only 1 booth will be required in the plenary room? Thank you.

Response: We will have interpretation for French and English so only 1 booth will be required in the plenary room. A revised SOW is replaces the previous version.

Question #2.

The solicitation makes it clear that we should include all audio support needed (speakers, mixers, mics, etc), may we also provide a quote for the video equipment (3 screens and 3 projectors in the plenary room)?

Response: No quote is needed for video equipment, ACSS will be providing their own screen and projectors.

Question #3.

For the delivery of the mp3 recording of all plenary sessions, would you like a recording of just the English, just the French, just the floor (both English and French as it is spoken live) or all three?

Response: The recording should be English and French as it is spoken live.

Question #4.

Are there sessions everyday from March 2-22 including the weekends that will require a technician? Also could you give me a sense of the working hours or agenda for the days that a technician will be required?

Response: The first session will start on 3/3 at 2pm, and then we will have daily sessions Monday thru Friday from 9 till about 6pm, on Wednesday we will finish by 2pm, we will need a technician for the duration of the sessions when the equipment is in use. We will not be in session on March 15 as we will travel to Carlisle. The program will end around 1pm on 3/22.
