About this file
This document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Monthly Exterminating Services issued by the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) of Bergen County, New Jersey, for pest and rodent control services across 14 residential housing properties. The contract is for a two-year period with a one-year optional extension, covering monthly extermination services for 319 total residential units located in various municipalities including Bergenfield, Emerson, Saddle Brook, and others. The scope of work includes comprehensive pest control for a wide range of insects and rodents such as ants, water bugs, mice, cockroaches, and others, with monthly treatments of all interior and exterior building spaces including apartments, common areas, utility rooms, and outdoor areas.
The pricing structure requires contractors to submit detailed monthly costs for each property, with a unit price per apartment for potential future location additions. Contractors must possess various certifications including New Jersey State Business Registration, Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certificates, and Institutional Exterminator licenses. The document specifies strict requirements for pesticide use, safety protocols, and personnel qualifications, mandating that all work be performed by certified professionals using EPA-registered and approved chemicals. Excluded from the standard contract are specific pests like bed bugs, termites, and vertebrates, which would require separate pricing and authorization. The Housing Development Corporation reserves the right to award the contract to one or multiple contractors and to add new locations to the original portfolio during the contract term.
