Questions/Answers regarding Solicitation H92240-19-Q-2028 High Bay Storage Platforms
- The Govt provided a current floor plan showing the existing cages and building columns, but in the mezzanine spec. the Govt did not mention that the mezzanine must cantilever all the way back to the building walls and be framed around all existing building columns. This adds more cost and labor, and in not specifying some vendors may not provide.
Pictures could be provided if needed.
- Does the Govt requires drawings with the quote? If so, would a conceptual drawing suffice? Does it have to be a CAD engineered drawing?
The Govt believes that this as an equipment buy not a building modification.
- After PO, standard approval drawings will be provided before fabrication begins. Are standard approvals acceptable OR will NAVFAC require P & E VA stamped engineering drawings?
The Govt understands that this is not considered a modification to the building, but only an equipment purchase. NAVFAC will be involved.
- ALL framing must be structural steel correct? No C roll formed members allowed?
Correct
- Is the contractor responsible for unloading materials?
If the material is brought to the building via flatbed and palletized, the vendor can unload and stage behind the building near the high bay.
