H92240-18-Q-2070 Biomechanical Analysis Salient Characteristics/ Description

1.0 Objective

Procure a biomechanical evaluation system to be used in support of the Naval Special Warfare Command Human Performance Program, enhancing and maintaining operational performance and longevity of the SOF force.

2.0 Description: Automated 3-dimensional biomechanical movement assessment for the efficient and accurate assessment of an operator’s movement pattern. This equipment will be used to implement standardized biomechanical movement analysis of operators and will provide ongoing automated monitoring.

2.1 System Components

2.1.1 Motion capture camera, video display, and integrated printer as to provide the computer vision, measurement, calculation and presentation functions to provide feedback to users.

2.1.2 USB extender

2.1.3 An additional or adjunct PC is not required to operate the system.

2.2 Salient Characteristics

2.2.1 Allows for frequent use by operators

2.2.2 User-friendly: User will only have to step into viewing range of system for it to start assessment (no sensor attachments on operator required/desired). Unit needs to be automated in that an operator can begin assessment without specific technical knowledge of the unit.

2.2.3 USB only (no internet/ WIFI or Bluetooth); All internet and WIFI connectivity software in the system is disabled. The “No Internet” warning symbol is removed from the system. No emails are sent or received by the system. User data is only transmitted to another device by USB drive only, no QR code card usage.

2.2.4 Rapid biomechanical analysis, 3D movement analysis to quickly identify biomechanical deficiencies. Specifically target overhead squat movement of operator

2.2.5 Small footprint, enough to be able to be deployed without major installation/ set-up, utilizing current customer facility/space.

2.2.6 Kiosk housing to secure equipment, but allows changes to display the customer’s design.

2.3 Output Data

2.3.1 Composite scores indicate overall biomechanical health and readiness by evaluating multiple joints simultaneously in a functional movement pattern, rather than joint-by-joint.

Output captures accurate data providing a summary of movement competencies and limitations.

2.3.2 Results/Data exportable to vendor-provided, compatible USB drive. When a file already exists on the USB drive, the data will be added to it. When the USB media is removed, the system reverts to normal operation.

H92240-18-Q-2070 Biomechanical Analysis Salient Characteristics/ Description

2.3.3 Results captured on video display via CSV format (see excel Attachment 3) or comparable.

The screening data remains stored on the system for future reference. A single file will be output with the requested data as per the attached example (see excel Attachment 3).

2.3.4 Allows Trainer to use the exported files by connecting USB media to a separately managed workstation PC by manually copying them for additional data analysis.

2.3.5 Software allowing data entry field for the UNIT name, the system will also present a data entry field for the combined “LASTNAME, FIRSTNAME”. Pre-populated with names for the UNIT pulldown list, if needed and on request. Otherwise hardware/software must allow unit names be added via the on-screen keyboard.

2.4 Software/ Support

2.4.1 Compatible, commercial software licensing yearly for each unit/system.

2.4.2 Software updates via USB; Upgrade software as soon as a new version is available

2.4.3 Custom logo on welcome screen/ screen saver (to be provided if solicited). When not in use, the system displays the screen saver, but this page will be simplified and branded with the NSW Group Logo instead of the vendor logo, as also on all other pages as well.

2.4.4 Remote system support is provided only via phone support, not electronically

2.4.5 Remove recommended exercises from the system.
