Performance Specification Quadcopter
1. Scope - This document defines the required performance of the quadcopter for use by United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).
2. Requirements
2.1. General - USSOCOM has a requirement for quadcopter to provide surveillance.
2.2. Performance - The primary performance requirement of the quadcopters are
• Video/Datalink Range of at least 600 m
• Endurance of at least 20 minutes with payload
• The ability to autonomously execute pre-planned routes in 3-D space
• An electro-optical camera with recording of full motion video
• The ability to view full motion video in near real time, from a ground station and/or controller, and also record video from the ground station only
• Operate at an altitude range from 0-3000 m mean sea-level
• Operate at temperatures from 0 degrees Celsius to 38 degrees Celsius
• All but one of the lights blacked out
2.3 Deliverables
• Deliverables include 100 quadcopters with an option to purchase 300 additional quadcopters
• The contractor shall deliver the packaged quadcopters to:

• All systems shall be palletized with a detailed inventory clearly visible on all sides of the package.
• The contractor must be able to deliver 100% of the systems 45 days after contract award

• The quadcopter must be packaged in a box individually with all the required components and contractor recommended spare kit to operate
• All-in-one charging adaptors
2.4 Maintainability - The quadcopters should be maintainable by SOCOM users (operator-level maintenance). Contractor will provide or specify recommended tools that will be needed to maintain the system
2.5 Packaging - Reusable hard shell packaging shall be designed in accordance with best commercial practices. Packaging will ensure adequate asset protection and security during loading, transportation, unloading and storage prior to asset use.
