INFORMATION FOR ORDERING ACTIVITIES

APPLICABLE TO ALL SPECIAL ITEM NUMBERS

SPECIAL NOTICE TO AGENCIES: Small Business Participation

SBA strongly supports the participation of small business concerns in the Federal Acquisition Service. To enhance Small

Business Participation SBA policy allows agencies to include in their procurement base and goals, the dollar value of orders expected to be placed against the Federal Supply Schedules, and to report accomplishments against these goals.

For orders exceeding the micropurchase threshold, FAR 8.404 requires agencies to consider the catalogs/pricelists of at least three schedule contractors or consider reasonably available information by using the GSA Advantage! on-line shopping service (www.fss.gsa.gov). The catalogs/pricelists, GSA Advantage! and the Federal Acquisition Service Home

Page (www.fss.gsa.gov) contain information on a broad array of products and services offered by small business concerns.

This information should be used as a tool to assist ordering activities in meeting or exceeding established small business goals. It should also be used as a tool to assist in including small, small disadvantaged, and women-owned small businesses among those considered when selecting pricelists for a best value determination.

For orders exceeding the micropurchase threshold, customers are to give preference to small business concerns when two or more items at the same delivered price will satisfy their requirement.

GSA Ordering process options for Contract # GS-35F-0438L

The manufacturer holds the GSA contract for Rauland-Borg Products. Based on the contract and items submitted to GSA, authorized distributors are able to invoice directly with the customer. Based on the customers relationship and management of the GSA program there are two payment options available to Rauland-Borg GSA customers.

In either option the customer should work with an authorized Rauland-Borg Distributor to discuss system questions including; type appropriate for them, configuration, technical, features, installation, maintenance, and price.

4 OF 32 PAGES

Option 1: Processed directly with the distributor. A clear division on the PO (Purchase Order) must be made between:

• Rauland-Borg items

• Items not on the Rauland GSA contract. Examples: wire and labor.

Or have separate PO for each of the above mentioned items

Customers, when reporting sales against GSA contract number GS-35F-0438L please only report Rauland-Borg items to

GSA.

When processing directly it is the Distributors responsibility to highlight the contract number GS-35F-0438L to Rauland-

Borg on each GSA PO. So the sale can be reported & industrial funding fee paid correctly to GSA.

To authenticate that the company you are working with is an authorized GSA distributor of Rauland-Borg you can contact

Cindy Dauber either by:

• Email Cindy.Dauber@ametek.com

• or by

• Phone 847-858-1049 mailto:Cindy.Dauber@ametek.com
