Great Park Shade Improvements - Phase 2 & 3
This is a project scope document for the City of Irvine, California, detailing shade structure improvements at Great Park. The project encompasses removal and restoration of existing site elements including concrete paving, asphalt paving, and decomposed granite paving, along with relocation of site furniture, electrical service, and irrigation systems. The primary work involves structural design and installation of three types of shade canopies: hypar sail style canopies, two-post hip style canopies, and semi-custom canopies. The contractor is responsible for preparing code-compliant, stamped, and signed structural drawings and calculations for each shade structure type as a deferred submittal, subject to City approval prior to fabrication. Upon completion of canopy installation, the contractor must restore concrete, decomposed granite, and landscape areas to specification.
The document does not specify pricing terms, contract duration, award dates, or renewal options within the provided scope material. No information regarding set-asides, incumbent contractors, funding sources, or budget amounts is detailed in this scope document. Contractors must ensure all structural design work complies with California building codes and obtain appropriate professional engineer certification before proceeding with fabrication and installation activities.
