About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for repairing and reconditioning a 12" End-Suction Centrifugal Type pump manufactured by Goulds Pumps for Malmstrom Air Force Base. The solicitation (FA462625Q0021) requires a certified ITT Goulds Pumps Industrial Pump Division (IPD) agent to comprehensively restore the pump, which involves extensive repair and replacement of multiple components including the pump case, cover, shaft, impeller, bearings, and sealing systems. Critical repair specifications include manufacturing new wear rings, replacing the shaft with Grade 410 stainless steel, balancing the impeller to ISO G1.0 standards, installing magnetic bearing isolators, and adding a new mechanical seal.
The contract period of performance is 140 days from award, with the government responsible for initial pump shipment to the contractor and subsequent installation. The work scope mandates precise technical requirements, such as achieving specific machining tolerances, performing weld repairs, and ensuring proper geometric alignments. The contractor must provide comprehensive documentation including a detailed work scope report, mechanical seal drawings, spare parts list, running clearances, air test results, and dynamic balance reports. Shipping costs back to Malmstrom AFB are to be included in the price quote, and all replacement parts must be original equipment manufacturer (OEM) components.
