About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a geotechnical survey contract for two dormitory buildings (B772 and B718) at Little Rock Air Force Base in Arkansas. The contractor is required to perform four 20-foot deep bore samples per building to determine soil bearing capacity and shrink/swell characteristics, supporting a planned three-story porch and exterior stairwell renovation. The project requires obtaining digging permits, coordinating with utility companies, and conducting a comprehensive geotechnical analysis to provide recommendations for foundation design.
Key contract specifications include completing the work within 60 days of award, delivering core samples and analysis reports within 30 days after award date (ADC), and coordinating with the project manager Randy Shelden. The Little Rock AFB Chief of Asset Optimization will monitor and approve the contractor's performance, with payment contingent upon completion and acceptance of all work. The contractor must comply with utility location requirements, including calling Arkansas 811 48 hours prior to beginning work and being responsible for preventing damage to existing utilities.
