About this file
This Addendum No. 1 is a Questions and Answers document issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) for Solicitation No. FWC 25/26-18 concerning Orange Hammock WMA Road Repairs. The addendum clarifies project specifications for three road repair projects involving the supply, delivery, spreading, and grading of shell road base material on McCall Ranch Road in Sarasota County. Project 1 encompasses 1.8 miles of roadway at 14-18 feet wide requiring 4 inches of Bank Run Shell Base; Project 2 spans one mile with a finished width of approximately 10 feet and an average finished depth of 6 inches of shell base material; and Project 3 specifications were not detailed in this addendum. The addendum confirms that sod installation is not required for edge grading and that no performance bonds are required. Regarding turn-around construction, the FWC prohibits turn-arounds on Projects 1 and 3 but permits turn-arounds for Project 2 in FWC-approved locations, limited to one dump truck load of material with minimum spacing of 1,320 feet apart. All sealed bid responses must be received by 2:00 PM Eastern Time on Thursday, December 4, 2025, with a public bid opening scheduled for the same date and time.
The addendum does not address pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent information, funding sources, or other financial requirements, as these matters were addressed in the original solicitation documents. Bidders should reference the primary Invitation to Bid (ITB) document for comprehensive contract terms, including the $220,000.00 project budget, per-ton pricing structure, liquidated damages provisions of $100.00 per calendar day for delays, contract term of one year from purchase order issuance, and completion deadline of June 13, 2026, with final invoices due by June 20, 2026.
