FTC-14-G-4069
Questions:
1. Does the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation under solicitation number FTC14Q4069 contain requirements similar to a current contract?
2. What is the maximum number of participants per class?
3. What is the approximate number of class sessions per year?
4. Please clarify the customization required in this statement: "The course will require some customization since the employees of the Bureau of Economics will not install software or manage the Linux Operating System."
5. Will the same course be repeated for each class session, or will each session require customization?
6. Of the four days of training, how many days should be spent on the Linux Operating System and how many days on the Python Programming Language?
Answers:
1. No it does not.
2. 12
3. 1
4. The vendor shall skip Linux commands related to managing the Linux environment and installing software (because OCIO performs those functions at the FTC.) Most introductory Linux classes cover installation and Linux management; we just want to skip these sections as our users wouldn’t have the admin rights to perform these actions. Instead, we would prefer to focus only on tasks that standard users without root or sudo permissions would be able to perform. The vendor will not need to develop any additional Linux training for us.
5. 1/2 -1 day on Linux and the remaining time on Python
