This visual sample shall serve as the first (one liter sample) which will be introduced into the retain per paragraph “c., 6.” (below) for each site.

2. Contractor shall employ a testing laboratory that complies with the following:

i. A third party laboratory accredited by the Standard Council of Canada (SCC) or other nationally or internationally recognized laboratory accrediting body to conduct the tests identified in the product specification(s) or

ii. A third party laboratory which is registered to International Organization for Standards (ISO) 9001 or 9002, has implemented a calibration system to ISO 10012- 1, and participates regularly in a recognized proficiency testing program for the contracted product(s).

The Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) is not responsible for verifying the accuracy of the statements in the certification. These statements are the responsibility of the Contractor. After the loading is complete, a record of all hatch and valve seal numbers will be made available to the QAR.

6. The Contractor will take a 1.056 gallons (4 liter) representative retain sample at the beach-head manifold for Type ‘B-2’ testing. The retained fuel shall be taken in 0.264 gallon (1 liter) increments starting with the initial “clear and bright” visual per paragraph c.1.iii prior to manifold valve being opened.
