ATTACHMENT C – BUDGET JUSTIFICATION

Team. Further, these funds may be used to attend ADE’s SSP trainings and visit schools upon ADE’s request. Personnel will receive reimbursement at a rate of $0.655 per mile. We are estimating 3,815 total miles over the life of the project.

Other Direct Costs Computer Software ($38,342) We request $3,890 in year one and $1,738 in all other years of the project to purchase statistical and qualitative software (e.g., Mplus, Atlas ti, Stat transfer) as well as software that assists our team in creating infographics and data briefs (i.e., Canva). These software programs would allow us to analyze the quantitative and qualitative data and would allow us to create products such as data briefs to better communicate the findings of the SSP evaluation. We also request $5,500 each year of the project to purchase a project management system (i.e., Asana) that would assist the team in coordinating project activities.

Survey Monkey ($15,000) We request $3,000 for each year of the project to support the services of SurveyMonkey.

SurveyMonkey is an online platform and software used for creating, distributing, and analyzing surveys. This is the platform that ASU’s SSP Team has to build the surveys that would be used as part of the evaluation for SSP, given that this is the tool used by ADE’s SSP Team. One of the deliverables for this project is to create the surveys that ADE’s SSP Team can copy, embed the metadata in, and then deploy to collect data on their awardees. Without this tool, ASU’s SSP Team would not be able to meet this deliverable.

Computers ($11,900) We request $6,900 in year one and $5,000 in year three of the project to purchase 4 laptop computers and associated equipment (i.e., docking station, monitors, etc). The computers will be used to process and analyze data and dissemination efforts.

Facilities and Administrative Costs ASU’s F&A has been approved by DHHS. The current approved agreement is dated 2/27/2025.

The F&A for this budget has been calculated at 8.0% Total Direct Costs (TDC) per program guidelines.

We request funds of $94,758 to cover these costs.
