MEMORANDUM FOR WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
SUBJECT: FA9101-20-Q-0039, 300kW Electric Heater, Questions and Answers
1. Would you be interested with UFO infrared heaters which enable to save energy and money for the project. If so please let us know about your interest and we can provide more information about UFO infrared heaters we are a pioneer in the infrared heating market and we have been producing infrared heaters for more than 20 years.
· Due to the design restrictions (location of inlets/outlets) the UFO heaters will be unacceptable.
2. Can you please clarify what is meant by / how explosion proof is being defined (2.2.23 & 2.2.24)? Is this meant to be an explosion proof cast-aluminum enclosure suitable for Class 1 Div.1 environment? Or are we supplying a standard enclosure (NEMA 4) with a side mount purge panel suitable for a Class 1 Div. 2 environment? If this is to be a cast-aluminum the control panel will be On/Off control and will require 2 enclosures, whereas if the we supply a NEMA 4 enclosure the control panel will be SCR controlled which provides greater control over the heat supplied.
· Class 1 Div 2 will be sufficient.
