QUESTIONS

1. Can Govt provide floor plans for facilities 899 and 912 show where systems will be installed along with Comm rooms to connect systems to existing base Vindicator system.

2. What is the current Vindicator firmware and software version?

Bldg 912 SOW: Questions:

Para 4.1 Does the Vindicator network exist in 912 currently? If so where will contractor connect each Rooms IDS panel to the Vindicator network?

Para 4.1 A. Para states "1 Entry control device", Does this refer to a Reader or Electronic Strike?

What is Existing to be utilized for this door?

Para 4.1 A. States "1 PIR shunt motion detector", is this the REX Motion Sensor?

Para 4.1 A. State "4 above ceiling motion detectors", What can these sensors be mounted to above the ceiling? How much space is available to mount them above the ceiling?

Para 4.1 B. Does this door require a Reader or is it existing?

Para 4.1 B. Does this door require both REX motion sensor and egress button?

Para 4.1 C. If two doors in Rm 309 does contractor need to provide REX and BMS for second door, or are they existing?

Para 4.1 D. States " seven (7) Balanced Magnetic Switches on seven (7) cabinets" is site requesting tamper switches or BMS? What type of cabinet are these to be installed on?

Bldg 899 SOW: Questions:

Introduction states "installing an IDS to the Honeywell Vindicator V5/Site Commander", and IDS Requirements: states "A V5 Site Commander/Premise Control unit will be installed" Please identify what is existing and what site requires to be installed at this location.

If V5 is existing is it an ACS or IDS V5?

ACS Requirements:

1. Do the 7 doors required Badge In/Badge out? Or Badge in REX out?

2. What is the existing hardware on the 7 doors needing ACS? (Electronic Strike/BMS) 3. Motions required above ceiling, what is above ceiling to mount to and what is the space like that needs to be covered?

4. Where is the Vindicator network to connect the new ACS to?

ANSWERS

1.We can provide drawings for floor plans to show where systems will need to be installed along with the approved Government equipment for installation. Approved floor plans to share are still trying to be accessed.
2.The Vindicator system is an AES V5 system and is currently being used.
3.Currently, Vindicator network exists in one side (C-2) of Building 912. Each Site Commander will have a V5 Panel inside each area or room. All IDS panel connections will run into the V5 panel that will be utilized from this Site Commander.

Para 4.1A When talking Entry Control Device, we are talking about the Badge Swipe system which will read the badge, then a pin number will be entered to allow the strike on the door to release. We will need a system installed in our building to allow us to control access for personnel. Existing Entry Control currently is the Codetronics System or Best Cipher System, along with X-0 on entry doors.

Existing motion detectors currently used are 360 degree motions. These are the only approved Government motion equipment being installed. Our Closed Areas are maintained under NISPOM guidelines. Ceilings that require Motion Detectors have drop down ceilings and so accessibility is to the True Ceilings.

Para 4.1B – No Card readers exist at this moment.

Para 4.1C – These two doors in question, are on opposite sides of the room with both being Main Door Entries. They both have existing BMS on doors.

Para 4.1D – The Seven cabinets are typically Metal cabinets that BMS can easily be installed on along with the Tamper Switches. These will need to be tied back to the site Commander.

Bldg 899 SOW:

Currently installed in this location is Codetronics on the outer doors. There is also an alarm system installed within this area that requires only a SECACC and depending on the points within the area if it is a 1500 Series or a V5. This would depend on the points with the rooms.

ACS Requirements:

All doors will require Badge Swipe in. Existing hardware will be BMS only. The area is divided up into 8 different areas with walls and doors (4 on first floor and mirror image on 2 floor). The Vindicator Network is currently located within one room on First and one room on Second Floor. Currently, we are in the process of closing up the whole building which will make the Site Commander be located just within the First level Main Door. The V5 will need to be mounted somewhere near the site Commander out in the Open Area Stairwell. The Site Commander will operate all rooms within this building.
