Section 4.2
This paragraph states, “Government furnished property and services is/not applicable to this requirement.”

Question

If Government Furnished Equipment or Property will not be furnished; does the customer have a preferred or approved/authorized software complement of tools used for cyber operations?

Answer

This course is intended to be offered at the Unclassified level. Publicly available toolkits such as Metasploit or Poison Ivy can be acquired by the contractor for instructional use. The focus of this course is not to learn specific tools, but to develop operational methodologies and tradecraft that can be applied across toolkits.

Question

If Government Furnished Equipment is not provided; is the contractor expected to develop a simulator for training offensive cyber operations?

Answer

The contractor is expected to host a Persistent Training Environment (PTE) containing virtual machines for student interaction. This PTE will be used for students to learn hands-on techniques surveying virtual systems and navigating networks utilizing tunneling and redirection. Additionally, the PTE will be used for students to demonstrate hands-on tasks during quizzes and tests for the modules.
