1. Q: Will the test weights be on site and provided by Pease ANGB?

A: #1 – The base will provide the test weights for onsite testing at QCT.

· 4.1. GENERAL

The COTR shall monitor the installation of the system. The system delivery dates shall not be extended because of work stoppages caused by unacceptable practices and/or test failures. For all inspections and tests, the Contractor shall provide all test apparatus (i.e., tape measures, levels, calipers, micrometers, stop watches). All test apparatus will be returned to Contractor upon completion of all tests. The Government will provide all test loads. The Contractor shall be responsible for loading and unloading all test loads and performing all inspections and tests. The Contractor shall provide a knowledgeable and authoritative representative on site during the entire acceptance tests.

1. Will the area be free and clear to install materials continuously?

A: #2 – Once the building is turned over to the base from the renovation effort, the space will be cleared.

1. Is there any type of prevailing wage requirement in this contract?

A: #3 -- This is not a service contract so prevailing wages do not apply

1. Please advise if the concrete slab thickness and strength in PSI is known for the seismic calculations?

A: #4 – See below for the response provided by the base CE POC. The original floor is 13” thick and placed back in the 50’s so not sure on composition. Please see attachment for the area that needed to be trenched and the concrete mix is in the specs supplied.

· 2.1.3 Concrete Mixture Proportions Concrete mixture proportions are the responsibility of the Contractor.

Mixture proportions must include the dry weights of cementitious material(s); the nominal maximum size of the coarse aggregate; the specific gravities, absorptions, and saturated surface-dry weights of fine and coarse aggregates; the quantities, types, and names of admixtures; and quantity of water per yard of concrete. Provide materials included in the mixture proportions of the same type and from the same source as will be used on the project. The specified compressive strength f'c is 4500 psi at 28 days (90 days if pozzolan is used). The maximum nominal size coarse aggregate is 3/4 inch, in accordance with ACI 304R. The air content must be between 4.5 and 7.5 percent with a slump between 2 and 5 inches. The maximum water-cementitious material ratio is 0.40. Submit the applicable test reports and mixture proportions that will produce concrete of the quality required, ten days prior to placement of concrete.
