Question Set #3

We have a couple of questions for this solicitation:

In this part of the drawing (re: Government furnished counter) are both pieces of the L shaped counter furnished by the government?

A. YES

Appendix B 3.2.1.6 – Our manufacturers do not produce a single continuous back panel at the requested height of the bin shelving. Is it acceptable to have 2 panels form a continuous back panel?

A. Submit as an exception with cut sheets, info, etc and it will be evaluated.

Appendix D 3.2.3 – “The pallet base shall have a height of 2 ½ inches + 1 ½ inch” We believe this should be 2 ½ inches +/- ½ inch based on previous projects. Please confirm.

A. Correct. PD has been revised to state +/- 1/2 “

Appendix E 3.1 – We are familiar with 132 gallon spill containment pallets that are 2 way forkliftable and 66 gallon pallets that are 4 way forkliftable. We do not know of a 132 gallon spill containment pallet that is also 4 way forkliftable available for purchase. Please advise.

A. The PD has been revised to allow for 2-way forkliftable pallets.

Question Set #4

One more question we came across:

Would it be acceptable to not have diagonal bracing on the Type B Widespan Shelving that will be installed on the mobile aisle system? The widespan shelving we would like to propose does not have diagonal bracing, but meets the capacity requirement. This would allow for a uniform appearance with the bin shelving that will also be on the mobile aisle system. We would still provide diagonal bracing on the type C, D & E Widespan Shelving.

A. Submit as an exception with cut sheets, info, etc. and it will be evaluated.

File details come from the government source that posted it.
