Salient Characteristics Evaluation FA8601-17-T-0011

High Density Storage Systems Salient Characteristics

1. The high density storage systems shall have an aluminum ramp that is anchored to the floor. The floor shall be non-porous such as aluminum to provide a non-slip surface that resists bacteria and dust.

2. The high density storage systems shall meet WPMC Infection Control requirements.

There shall be no floor penetrations. The storage system shall be at least 8 inches above the floor.

3. The first system shall be utilized for supply storage with a stationary section that are located from both ends and the middle. The stationary section and mobile carriages shall have at least 48” in width and is able to store supplies from both sides. The minimum requirement aisle space is 36”. The contractor shall also be able to reuse the existing 51 sections of wire shelving in the Sterile Storage department. The existing wire shelving is measured 59”W x 24”D x 8”H from Inter Metro Industries Corp. The total measurement requirements for the first system is at least 46’L x 15’w x 8’ H.

4. The second system requirement also needs a 36” aisle space with a minimum requirement of 5 rolling sections and 1 stationary section shall have at least 29” in width and is able to store supplies from both sides. The total measurement requirement is at least 18’L x 12’W x 8’H.

5. The two high density storage systems shall have capability to mechanically assist staff and have the ability of securing safety of personnel with a safety lock.

6. The Vertical Carousel and two High Density Storage systems shall be awarded into a single vendor. This will ensure a consistent project management and on-going warranty service.

7. The facility personnel sent drawing in PDF format and will be attached to this salient characteristics. If the drawings need more clarification and did not fully addressed the questions, the vendor is responsible for field measuring the space to ensure that the dimensions are accurate.

8. Both high density storage system shall be easy to clean and provides closure panels to prevent supplies from falling into carriages.

9. The contractor shall be able to repurpose 15 sections of existing Inter Metro Industries Corp., wire rack shelving on the second system and will be mounted to the high density carriages. The existing wire shelving storage system is measured 59”W x 24”D x 8”H.

10. The contractor shall provide wire shelving that are easy to clean, promotes air circulation and maintain aseptic standards for the high density storage system.

11. The contractor shall be responsible in maintaining a sterile environment in the sterile stores during the installation project.

12. The contractor shall be responsible in cleaning up the section during the construction project to include debris and other unable to use wire shelving.

Vertical Carousel Systems Salient Characteristics

1. WPMC also requires a Vertical Carousel storage system. This system shall have the capability to store surgical instrument caskets to include: Half-Size Containers 11 3/4 “L x 11 ¼”Wx 6” H;

Three-Quarter Size Containers 18 ½”L x 11 ¼”W x 8”H; Full-Size Container 23 ¼”L x 11 ¼”W x 8”H; Extra-Long Container 26 ¼” x 11 ¼”W x 8”H; Wide-Body Containers 23 5/8”L x 15 ¾”W x 4 ¾”H

2. The contractor Vertical Carousel system shall be able to store 250 full and mid-size instrument caskets, 100 half size containers. The vendor shall provide at least 9 or 10 carriers with a minimum of 2 part fold down. The compartment shall have at least 55”W x 24”D x 13”H.

3. The Vertical Carousel dimensions shall be at least 104”H x 135”W x 64”D. The shelf capacity must hold at least 300lbs.

4. The vendor shall be responsible in disposing of all shipping materials.

5. The Vertical Carousel system shall have the capability to interface with the Censitrac system.

6. The Vertical Carousel shall have at least a single motor drive system.

7. The project shall be full turnkey. The vendor is responsible to run power to the vertical carousel. The power available is 120/208 Volt 3 Phase.

8. The contractor shall be responsible in maintaining a sterile environment in the sterile stores during the installation project.

9. The contractor shall be responsible in cleaning up the section during the construction project to include debris and other unable to use wire shelving.
