The following questions have asked concerning RFP FA8601-14-R-0018-Base Cable Television and Broadband Services:

1. Existing Infrastructure- Are we able to reuse this?

ANSWER: There isn’t very much of the customer’s fiber being used by the current contractor; However, if desired, the new contractor would be allow to use the customer’s fiber. Also, the current contractor has allowed the customer to use some of their fiber, and this usage would continue with new contractor as well.

2. What location (address)- What building is the current contractor housed inside?

Will the new contractor be able to place their equipment in the same “head end?”

ANSWER: The two buildings on the base map that the current contractor is using are: Bldg. 631 2824 Kauffman St, which is their office and Bldg.

827, WPAFB, OH (which is probably a very small building).

3. Addresses of the buildings to be serviced. The RFP only shows building number. Are there physical addresses so possible construction costs could be factored into proposal as needed?

ANSWER: Cannot provide complete building list, but see attached Excel document that should be useful in identifying sites.

4. Is there a specific building/address/location that will be required for contractor to house their equipment in order to connect to the existing network? Does the contractor need to have its equipment on WPAFB in order to connect to the existing network?

ANSWER: No there is not a specific building/address/location requirement to house cable equipment. However, If you plan to reuse the existing cable plant of the current contractor, then it would seem likely you would want to use the same building.

Additionally, in accordance with the PWS, the contractor is required to provide a “Close

Loop Setup.” This means the contractor is required to include The Government Channels

(CAC), Educational Channels and Emergency Alert Scroll (EAS) to be televised or featured only to WPAFB official business units or residential areas. Other communities outside WPAFB should not be receiving WPAFB EAS. If the contractor can guarantee this requirement can be met without having equipment physically on WPAFB is permitted to do so.

5. Can a network diagram of the wiring and connections be provided?

ANSWER: Not at this time. Only the current contract may possess a network diagram drawing.

All other terms and conditions of this RFP remain unchanged unless notated otherwise.
