These services cover all C-5 Mission Design Series (MDS) and are critical to the continuing operations of the C-5 fleet in providing strategic airlift capabilities to the United States Air Force (USAF) and to the warfighter. These services include, but are not limited to, performing engineering investigations and analyses, formulating deficiency resolution concepts, designing proof of concepts, and developing finalized engineering change proposals. Areas to receive SE support within this PWS include, but are not limited to: the Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP), the Functional Systems Integrity Program (FSIP), the Corrosion Prevention and Control Program (CPCP), the Deficiency Investigation Program (DIP), Technical Data Sustainment (TDS) Support, and C-5M Reliability Enhancement and Re-Engining Program (RERP)/Avionics Modernization Program (AMP) sustaining engineering and technical support services. All general references to the C-5 fleet within this document shall be inclusive of all C-5 Mission Design Series (-A, -B, -C, and -M Models) which are current to the composition of the fleet. ASIP and CPCP are mandatory In Accordance With (IAW) and shall meet the intent of requirements established in MIL-STD-1530C, Aircraft Structural Integrity Program. FSIP is mandatory IAW and shall meet the intent of requirements established in MIL-STD-1798C, Mechanical Equipment and Subsystem Integrity Program.
