Project No. UHHZ040134, Replace Roof on Building 81

Special Standards of Responsibility

1. General contractor shall employ a job foreman who is a certified installer of a qualified manufacturer for the approved PVC roof system and metal system Acceptable Documentation

– Provide verification employment with Prime

– Provide copy of individual’s installation certifications.

2. Manufacturer Qualifications (1 for Metal Roof System and 1 for PVC system) – Manufacturer must be able to provide a single source 20 year No-Dollar-Limit High Wind Weather Tightness warranty on material and labor for weather-tightness, finishes, and flashing components.

Acceptable Documentation

– Provide a sample 20 year NDL warranty on labor and material that covers the roof system up to required design wind speeds. (Installer’s certification must match manufacturer’s sample warranty)

3. Manufacturer Qualifications (Additional for Standing Seam Metal Roofs) – Manufacturer must also be accredited in accordance with the International Accreditation Services (IAS) Inspection Programs for the Metal Building Systems/AC472.

Acceptable Documentation

– Provide a copy of metal roofing manufacturer’s accreditation.

4. Contractor must provide a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect registered in the State of Georgia or another state who derives the majority of their income from roof design work to perform and seal all required Design Analysis and drawings.

Acceptable Documentation

– Letter from AE firm showing a working relationship and stating how they derive the majority of their income with a copy of their professional seal on letter.

5. Contractor must be capable of providing a UL certified lightning protection installer registered in the State of Georgia or another state for Franklin Rod Systems on all lightning protection work.

Acceptable Documentation

– Letter from UL certified lightning protection installer showing a working relationship with a copy of Georgia License. Contractor must also provide a letter identifying the 3rd party inspector as UL listed or a copy of their AMMO 50 certification.

6. Provide documentation that manufacturer for both system types can provide 24 gauge flashings

Acceptable documentation – Manufacturer’s cut sheets.

7. Provide documentation that approved Standing Seam Roof System manufacturer can provide 3” minimum height trapezoidal panels that can be mechanically seamed to 360 degrees onsite.

Acceptable Documentation – Letter from Standing Seam Roof Panel Manufacutrer.
