1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 Purpose
To ensure that Production Acceptance Certification (PAC) tasks properly correlate to Work Control
Document (WCD) operations, ensuring that PAC tasks are Identifiable, Trainable, and Auditable.
1.2 Scope
WCD/PAC Tasks Standardization/Correlation. Contract support required to assist, 309th Aircraft
Maintenance Group in implementing guidance and procedures to create/revise Production Acceptance
Certification (PAC) Program Tasks to meet the requirements of AFSCMAN 21-102 with the Work
Control Document (WCD) and to formalize inspection criteria ensuring the PAC Training inspection process meets the required standards in AFSCMAN 21-102. Guidance will also establish procedures for
Pre-Production Planning Teams (PPPT) and Production Planning Teams (PPT) to conduct WCD reviews and notify the appropriate PAC Manager of changes to the WCD that might affect PAC tasks.
Additionally, assists the appropriate PAC Manager as a required member of the PPPT so when new work load is planned and WCD’s created, the appropriate PAC Manager will be responsible for creating tasks to support this new work load. The applicable supervisors have the responsibility to ensure tasks are identified in TSS/PAC. PAC task standardization shall be accomplished to the extent possible for similar work. A PAC task shall be identifiable, trainable and auditable. PAC tasks shall relate to the work described on the WCD. When the work performed does not lend itself to this kind of task definition, PAC tasks shall be structured to the nature of the service performed. This can be by skill, equipment, type of service, or other logical breakdown. SSQ tasks will be designated with the SSQ indicator and number.
1.3 Background
During the 2012 LCAT inspections, it was discovered that not all PAC certification tasks correlated to the WCDs at the three AFSC Complexes. The on-going requirement for the three Complexes is to review all tasks and WCDs that are in the production work centers to ensure there is correlation. A task is a necessary activity in the completion of an industrial process or procedure involving a product or product-related service. To date, over 9600 WCDs are currently in use and need to be correlated.
