SUBJECT: Interim Hazard Classification for CARTRIDGE, DROGUE GUN, ACES II EJECTION SEAT, NSN 1377016522801ES, P/N 6284100, Log No. H18-191
Reference: Interim Hazard Classification Log No. H18-191
1. The subject item will be shipped on behalf of the Department of Defense (DoD). Subject item has electrically initiated ZPP charge and propellant output charge of ZPP, BKNO3, and Hi-Temp. This interim hazard classification (IHC) is valid for one year and will expire on 26-SEP-2019.
2. The IHC for the subject item is as follows.
DOD Hazard Class/Division/SCG/SG: 1.4S DOT Proper Shipping Name: CARTRIDGES FOR WEAPONS, BLANK UN Serial Number: UN0014 DOT Label: EXPLOSIVES 1.4S Net Explosive Weight/Item: 0.001984 lbs (0.000900 kg)
Packaging must be in accordance with 49 CFR 173.62, Packing Instruction 130, dated 1-Oct-2017.
3. This interim hazard classification is issued in accordance with T.O. 11A-1-47, as authorized by reference DOT Special Permit (SP) 15448. This interim hazard classification is valid for one year from the date of this letter. A copy of this letter and the Special Permit must be carried aboard each conveyance transporting the subject item. A copy of SP 15448 can be found at:

4. This IHC does not relieve the shipper from complying with all other hazardous material requirements of 49 CFR.
