1. Scope

This Statement of Work (SOW) establishes the Contractor activities required to support efforts to integrate the Onboard Oxygen Generating System (OBOGS) on the A-10. The scope of this SOW is to deliver seventy (250) OBOGS Group B kit (NSN 1560K0106065BFJ) assemblies and sixteen (16) Leak Chamber sets (NSN 6636-01-528- 9316).

2. Applicability

A/OA-10C

3. Background The purpose is to retrofit the A-10 aircraft by removing the present liquid oxygen system and installing the OBOGS. Due to its cryogenic nature, liquid oxygen systems require special handling precautions which adversely impact maintenance costs and increase downtime between sorties. The OBOGS mitigates the constraints of liquid oxygen by utilizing engine bleed air as the source of breathing oxygen and eliminates the maintenance costs and sortie delays the liquid oxygen system incurs.
