1. Scope

This Statement of Work (SOW) establishes the Contractor activities required to support efforts to integrate the Onboard Oxygen Generating System (OBOGS) on the A-10. The scope of this SOW is to deliver two hundred twenty eight (228) OBOGS Group A kit assemblies.

2. Applicability

A/OA-10C

3. Background

The purpose is to retrofit the A-10 aircraft by removing the present liquid oxygen system and installing the OBOGS. Due to its cryogenic nature, liquid oxygen systems require special handling precautions which adversely impact maintenance costs and increase downtime between sorties. The OBOGS mitigates the constraints of liquid oxygen by utilizing engine bleed air as the source of breathing oxygen and eliminates the maintenance costs and sortie delays the liquid oxygen system incurs.

4. Program Objectives

The primary objectives of the tasks provided within this SOW are:

a. Contractor shall deliver complete sets of Group A kits to the location specified in paragraph six (6) below.

b. Contractor shall manufacture OBOGS Group A kit per specifications contained in the following drawing package:

See Drawings provided on CD and the drawings parts list attached to this SOW. Requests for CD shall be submitted through contracting. To obtain the CD a valid form DD 2345 must be provided to contracting. If contractor does not have a valid form DD 2345, instructions on how to obtain a DD 2345 form are listed in the Section L and M.

5. Delivery Schedule

The contractor shall deliver the initial quantity of sixty four (64) OBOGS A kit assemblies no later than 12 months after receipt of (ARO) contract. All other deliveries shall be within 12 months of additional quantity award.

7. Packaging, Marking and Shipping

Each Group A kit must be shipped as a ship-set (A-10 OBOGS A-Kit). Each ship-set will be clearly marked with kit number 1560K0106065CFJ. See the attached parts lists for items to be in included in each kit.

The contractor shall package and ship using MIL-STD-2073-1E, Standard Practice for Military Packaging.

Shipping shall be F.O.B. Destination. The contractor shall be responsible for all associated shipping costs for delivery to the government facility. Shipping costs are to be included in the price of each kit.

Component. An item below the assembly level that may be repairable or non-repairable.

End Item: An item having all accessories and components comprising a piece of equipment and suitable for Government storage and issue.

Military Standard: used to help achieve standardization objectives by the U.S.
