Vendor Question 1: Weight capacity needed?
Government Response 1:
The solicited towing capacity is listed as a minimum of 15,000 lbs. The maximum operator weight capacity is 300 lbs.
Vendor Question 2: Lift height needed?
Government Response 2: Not relevant; equipment is not required to lift.
Vendor Question 3: Tasks the lift truck will be performing?
Government Response 3: Not relevant; equipment shall be capable of meeting/performing to specifications listed in solicitation.
Vendor Question 4:
The Taylor Dunn Model E-457 comes with an industrial battery and NOT the requested 250 amp hour, 6-6v batteries, which are generally used for golf carts. The reason Taylor Dunn doesn't offer it with this model is due to the longevity that the industrial battery provides compared to the 250amp hour 6-6v batteries. Can you clarify this with your end user?
Government Response 4:
The solicited battery requirement includes - at a minimum - 250AH 36V batteries. The solicited charger requirement will [need] to meet the solicited battery requirements.

Primary Voltage - 120v Secondary voltage - 208v
Vendor Question 6: Will the end-user need a 1-phase charger or a 3-phase charger?
Government Response 6: Both Single phase
Vendor Question 7: Please confirm do you accept the stand-up electric tugs (tuggers,tow tractors) to be manufactured in China?
Government Response 7:
All offers will be required to include a Buy American-Balance of Payments Program Certificate in accordance with DFARS 252.225-7000. (The provision at FAR 52.204-7 was incorporated into the solicitation; thereby, DFARS 252.225-7000 is not required to be listed separately in accordance with DFARS 225.1101(1).) Non-domestic end products will be evaluated in accordance with the Buy American-Supplies regulation at FAR 25.1, as supplemented by DFARS 225.1.
