STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)

FOR

ZEISS SMART PI SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPE

10 January 2017

Statement of Work On Purchase Request: H7WM01 Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)

1.0 Scope – The vendor shall provide all hardware, software, accessories, peripherals, documentation, and training required to operate the Scanning Electron Microscope. The Contractor shall provide shipment and installation of the unit. Any required maintenance shall be provided by Contractor as guaranteed in their one-year warranty.

2.0 Technical Requirements – Key features and requirements of the SEM-EDS. All Technical Requirements are listed on the Technical specifications Attachment.

2.1 Scanning Electron Microscope – EVO 60Accelarating voltage up to 30 KV. Magnifications up to 300,000X.

2.2 Chamber Size - 350mm (wide) X 320 mm (height) minimum

2.3 Stage type – Fully motorized, door mounted, Cartesian 5-axis stage with compucentric capability

2.4 Stage Travel (minimum) - X=125mm Y=125mm Z=150mm motorized (w/ no spacers required) Tilt: -10 to 90º, Rotation= 360º

2.5 Pump Time - 3 minutes or less

2.6 Chamber door –Drawer type and Chamber lock (load lock) configurations with easy access to samples

2.7 Number of ports – At least 11

2.8 Stage Navigation – Stage navigation system to include top mount CCD camera. Software provides user control of the stage via point-and-click for easy navigation over sample or from sample to sample.

2.9 Everhart-Thornley secondary electron detector – For standard SEM imaging.

2.10 FOUR quadrant BSD - The 4-diode quadrants are able to be manipulated to produce high definition compositional and topographical imaging modes.

2.11 Apertures – Three step externally adjustable final aperture or equivalent.

2.12 Two chamberscopes - Two chamber cameras for stage manipulation.

2.13 Variable pressure SE detector – Dedicated Charged Coupled Device (CCD) detector for variable pressure images of non-conductive samples

2.14 Variable pressure system - Variable pressure system with software driven switching capability (no manual mechanical manipulation in the column or chamber required)

2.15 Suspension – External mechanical isolation table

2.16 Image display - Two high resolution 24" monitors

2.17 Annotations - Capable of making annotations on screen and saved with image. Annotations can be freely positioned and adjusted. Includes on- screen measurement tools, text and micron bars.

2.18 EDS package – Laboratory grade EDS engine health monitoring system

2.19 Un-interruptible Power supply - 3KVa minimum battery backup and surge protector with 208 V inputs and 120V inputs to connect all equipment and detectors running on the SEM

2.20 Rotary control panel - Multi-function panel with dedicated rotary knobs for control and adjustment of frequently used SEM parameters.

2.21 Integrated Computer - At least 3.0 GHz Intel Pentium processor, or equivalent, with 8GB DDR3-SDRAM, 1Tb HDD, DVD, Network card, Microsoft® Windows®7 Professional.

2.22 Utilities – 110V 50-60 Hz.

2.23 Service – On-site technical service available for the Oklahoma area

2.24 Cooling-Air Cooled

3.0 Delivery – The Contractor will be responsible for shipping the Scanning Electron Microscope to the laboratory. The instrument shall be delivered no later than the agreed Contractor’s proposed time line. The microscope shall be the property of the vendor until it is accepted by the Government after all testing is completed and approval is granted. Prior to shipping, the vendor shall contact the contract monitor to provide notification of a delivery date. The supplier is responsible for coordinating with the Government Point of contact for instrument delivery and escorting to the final location. The supplier is responsible for supplying all required installation of hardware, software, and fluids (if any).

4.0 Installation – The Government is responsible for allocating space for the unit to be installed including utilities. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to connect all electrical connections along with filling all fluids necessary to operate chillers, pumps, etc. It is also the responsibility of the supplier to have analytical tools installed and functional on the instrument. Calibrations of the instrument shall be performed at the time of installation. All installation procedures should be completed within 20 calendar days of shipping. The Contractor shall supply any unique supplies required for the operation of the instrument.

5.0 Testing - The tests required for “ Quality Assurance Provisions” of the Purchase Request shall be witnessed and approved by a representative of the Chemical Analysis Section (76 MXSS/MXDTA). Calibration tools and standards shall be provided by the Contractor. The final inspection and acceptance shall be performed by the Contractor and contract monitor no later than 30 days after installation (including the EDS analytical tools attached to the SEM) or as agreed by the Contractor and Contract Monitor. Technical acceptance will be performed during installation to guarantee all line items were delivered and the instrument performs as advertised.

6.0 Training – The Contractor shall provide a minimum of 4 days on-site training on the operation and use of the new SEM-EDS including advanced applications. Training will be performed within 2 months after installation.

7.0 Warranty – At minimum 1 year complete package parts/labor/software warranty.
