Q&A Round 3 for FA8125-16-Q-0041 - MEC Test Stand Purchase
Q59. Does the government have any specific requirements related to the qualifications for the
“Independent Consultant”? We would like to better understand government’s expectations.
A: The government’s expectations are that the Contractor will hire an independent Consultant with sufficient expertise in hydraulically based equipment and the compilation of related As-Built drawings that the Consultant is willing to sign and date a document stipulating the accuracy of the drawings, as per SOW para 3.5.8. Beyond those expectations there are no specific requirements.
Q60. Has the government worked with any such consultants in the recent past? If so, can the government provide contact information for these consultants?
A: The government cannot recommend consultants to use, but an Internet search should yield a number of suitable, local (if desired) engineering design firms and consultants. For example:
“consequence analysis Oklahoma” will yield consultants capable of completing the Electrical Classification and PMEL Studies as per SOW para. 3.6 and “”aerospace component test equipment” Oklahoma” will yield consultants capable of reviewing As-Built drawings.
