AFGSC E-Tool Storage Cabinet Specifications

General Specification

1. 10 drawers to accommodate any rugged notebook computer Exception: Cabinets may be 11 drawers if additional drawer is used to house Managed switch (Current eTools must fit).

2. 30 drawers to accommodate any rugged notebook computer Exception: Cabinets may be 31 drawers if additional drawer is used to house Managed switch (Current eTools must fit) (The following requirements for the 10 and 30 drawer cabinets will remain the same)

A. Each drawer will have one 120 VAC outlet and one RJ45 Ethernet connection, both connections will be mounted on the right hand side, while looking at front of Cabinet

B. Drawers must slide smoothly and extend within 1” from front of cabinet for easy access to power and Ethernet connections

C. Drawers must be vented to allow warm air to escape

3. 2’ molded Ethernet cable (Cat 5E/6) will be included in each drawer.

4. A surge/spike protection device to be provided for the AC going to drawers.

5. The unit must have a durable finish, example baked on enamel paint or rhino paint.

6. The unit must operate with 110VAC with surge suppression.

7. A 10-12’ minimum power cord providing power to cabinet.

8. Cooling/ventilation system to insure sufficient cooling while charging, fan kits will have filters.

9. Unit will have replaceable high quality locking swivel casters suitable for use on hard surfaces.

10. Separately locking drawers for security and individual key assignment, with master keys that will work on all cabinets.

11. Will have an Air Force Approved Managed Network Switch (CISCO WS-2960) (Note: 30 drawer cabinets will require 48 port switch; 10 drawer cabinets will require 24 port switch) mounted to support the LAN connection in all drawers storing the laptops.

12. A cable management system will extend from the rear of each drawer to the rear of the cabinet to insure long cable life.

13. 3 Ethernet ports will be provided externally and appropriately labeled.

A. One port to be connected for Local Area Network (LAN) connection B. Second port will allow for daisy chaining the units C. Third to be used as a console port for a managed switch D. Labels to be placed next to the ports for identification purposes

14. Quotes will include shipping.

15. Each unit will ship with a simple user manual/maintenance guide/replacement parts listing/

16. Cabinet must be structurally stiffened to enable the movement of the cabinet and be sturdy enough to safely load/secure onto a pallet for shipment to deployed locations

17. Delivery Information:

A. Minot AFB, North Dakota shipment will contain 7ea 10 drawers ETool Cabinets.

B. Barksdale AFB, Louisiana shipment will contain 5 ea 30 drawers ETool Cabinets.

C. Whiteman AFB, Missouri shipment will contain 5ea 30 drawers ETool Cabinets.
