STATEMENT OF WORK
FOR
PROJECT YTPM 17-0004
REPLACE CARPET, BLDG 5411
MEPS

STATEMENT OF WORK
YTPM 17-0004
Replace Carpet, MEPS 17 Feb 2017
1. GENERAL _______________________________
A. This project consists of, but is not limited to the furnishing of all plant, labor, equipment, devices, tools, materials, transportation, supervision, and all miscellaneous requirements necessary to accomplish the work at the MEPS facility. All work shall be completed in conformance with applicable drawings, attached supplemental specifications, details and informational data.
B. The contractor shall replace all carpet, cove base, transition strips and required mastic from identified rooms.
C. See attached General Requirements for all Westover ARB specific requirements, rules and regulations.
2. SCOPE OF WORK ______________________________
A. The contractor shall remove all carpet, transition strips, and cove base within identified rooms.
B. The contractor will remove all required mastic as to allow for the proper installation of new flooring.
C. The contractor will install new carpet, transition strips and 4” carpeted cove base in identified rooms. See attached drawings.
D. A flooring transition strip shall be installed around the existing file storage rack rail system in order to provide a clean appearance. The existing rail system is not to be removed. The old carpet that the rails rest on shall remain.
E. Not all rooms will receive the same color scheme or type of carpet. See the attached drawings for clarification. All colors shall be submitted for approval prior to installation.
F. The contractor shall install specialty patterns in identified rooms. (Coordination with customer required for pattern and design.
G. The contractor shall be responsible for elevating/jacking all office partitions in order to facilitate the removal and installation of new carpet and cove base.
H. The contractor shall be responsible for the removal and replacement of all items on the carpeted floor minus the above mentioned partitions. Items shall be stored on site as to not disrupt ongoing operations.
3. PHASES OF WORK ______________________________
A. This project will require all work to be accomplished during standard and nonstandard hours.
B. All work shall be accomplished per attached phasing/schedule plan. Number of rooms down at one time must be coordinated with user/government representative.
C. Acceptance of rooms (BOD) will be accomplished as work progresses.
