Will any equipment needing work be coming from and returning to the UK?

If we purchase from a US vendor then yes it will be coming from and returning to the UK.

Our company provides the standard system and head sensor goggles. The SoW mentions “35 sets of equipment.” Does this include the standard system in addition to goggles? Which system are we to quote on? If both, what is the breakdown between the two types?

If the goggles are to work with the standard system, then the quote should include 35 sets of each.

The Statement of Work includes an IED kit, Does this include an E3 remote detonated system?

Yes, this allows us to expand and give realistic training.

Do you require supporting products such as sanitizer, DTS tools, Shocknife, and pat down props?

Yes, this allows us to give realistic training.

Is there a specific size of tablet?

The Statement of Work doesn’t specify a specific size of tablet. All products submitted will be evaluated for technical acceptance.

Our company uses a “hidden trigger” behind the real weapon trigger, in order to fire laser pulse, the trainee’s vest loudspeaker, provide the shot sound effect of each simulated bullet, increase reliability and decrease training preparation and logistics. Our system does not require CO2 magazine in order to work. Will this be an acceptable solution?

As per the Statement of Work, Section 2, the system must come with CO2 canister integrated training magazines for M18 and the M4.

Our company offers user friendly umpire guns to manually terminate all active systems in the event of a safety mishap or emergency. These can also be used to manually revive, kill or simulate injury of trainees individually or collectively. They can also be used to refill simulated ammunition. Can you confirm whether or not this is acceptable to meet your control tablet requirement?

As per the Statement of Work, “The contractor shall provide a digital control tablet for the system to allow instructors to be in the immediate environment of active training. This control tablet must have the capability to record live video to aid in after action viewing and teaching assistance. Has program capability to manually terminate all active systems in the event of a safety mishap or emergency.” If your product meets the specifications in the Statement of Work it will be considered for award.

Our company usually supply four smartphones to record live video for after action review and teaching assistance combined with one touch-screen laptop for reports and map viewing. Does this (in combination with the umpire guns) meet your requirement for four control tablets or is there a specific size of tablet?

The Statement of Work does not specify a specific size of the tablets. If your quote includes four tablets it will be considered for award.

Our laser products can be installed on picatinny rails or with a generic barrel adapter, Does this meet your laser fitting requirement?

Yes, as long as the lasers are compatible with existing weapons stated in the Statement of Work.

10.
Our company has a user-friendly calibration system which is similar to that on a real weapon sight. Calibration is done by the trainee, by aiming a red visible laser at a paper target. Adjustment is made with a simple screw and requires no additional tools other than a safety key for the laser. Does this calibration system meet your requirements?

Yes, as stated in the Statement of Work, “The contractor shall provide an accurate laser sighting system capable of calibrating all Pistol, Carbine and Shotgun laser modules.”

11.
Our company provides a 2 day course to train instructors on the system. Would this be an attractive option in addition to the mandated digital and hard copy training material?

Yes, as stated in the Statement of Work, “The contractor will provide all safe handling and operator training materials, as well as a comprehensive training program guide.

12.
Our company offers RF communication between trainees to the control station, UHF radio communication 460.00 MHz, 0.5W, 12.50 KHz, we can adjust between frequencies of 410-480 MHz. Is this acceptable?

Yes, there is no specification on the frequency of RF communication.
