Questions and Answers

Wash Station

1) Are utilities available at the site to provide power and water to supply the wash rack?

Yes

2) Is 208/230-volt, 3-phase, 60HZ power available?

Yes

3) Is there a fresh water connection supplying at least 10-gpm to feed the two (2) pressure washers?

Yes

4) What type of surface is the system being deployed on?

Concrete

5) Is a site layout available showing the location where the wash rack is to be placed?

No

6) Will the equipment be offloaded by USAF personnel at the site when received?

Yes

7) Will the USAF make MHE (forklift) available and an operator to set equipment in place?

Yes

8) Is all installation to be completed by contractor without the use of MHE or USAF personnel as operators?

USAF personnel will be able to operate MHE.

9) Is a wash area 40’L x 20’W acceptable?

Our largest vehicle is just shy of 38 ft long. We would prefer to have 2-3 foot of washing space on each end of the vehicle.

10) Our above ground steel wash pad is 10.25” high but is equipped with 18 surface feet of ramp area on each end. Will this be an acceptable alternate?

Those ramps would be to long for our area.

11) Will a Heavy Duty polypropylene 500 gallon Corrosion Proof oil/water separator be acceptable?

Yes

12) Will the use of biologics to control odor and assist with water clarity rather than the use of ozone be acceptable?

Yes, but not necessary. Ozone injection would be fine.

13) Will the use of a belt oil skimmer and decanter be acceptable?

Yes.

14) What is the heaviest piece of equipment to be washed GVW and type?

The largest refueling vehicle weighs 68,000 lbs.
