RFI #1 Thermal Flightline CCTV

1. There appears to be four embedded PDF files but are not accessible to open.

a.) What do these files contain (floor plans; conduit path)?

b.) Can these files be provided separately?

Answer: Disregard prior drawing attachments. Updated drawings are attached.

2. Site Survey Photographs a.) Can photographs be taken during the site survey?

Answer A: Photographs can be allowed provided that the contractor ask in advance for clearance b.) Can access be provided to photograph existing “Quick Removable Camera Mounts”?

Answer B: Yes, provided that the contractor asks in advance for clearance.

3. Type of camera mounts a.) Will all cameras be flat-roof, non-pen type mounts?

Answer A: The camera mounts will be pole type with a flat surface for the camera to be secured to and height will be dependent on the location.

b.) Will standard surface-mount conduit be used outside the buildings?

Answer B: Yes, standard surface-mount conduit can be used outside the building.

c.) Will dropped-ceiling routing be used inside the buildings?

Answer C: If there is an existing drop ceiling inside the building where the cables will have to traverse, yes and the cables must be in liquid flex conduit.

d.) What locations require the use of a PTZ mount, and which are fixed?

Answer D: All designated camera locations will be PTZ type.

4. Conduit routing a.) Is a rough sketch of conduit-routing outside and into each building available?

Answer A: The contractor will decide on the best possible route of the conduit between the camera and the COMM room that will minimize delays/building alterations.

b.) Is conduit use required inside of building as well?

Answer B: Yes, conduit will be required inside the building.

5. Electronic enclosures Question: Is it permissible to use electronic enclosures at the base of the camera for junction points / power sources / etc, or are we going to stay within the Cat6e cable length standards and run all power and communications straight-line from the Comm Room?

Answer: From the camera communication interface to the building COMM room the connection must be single mode fiber to minimize video signal loss and signal control data.

6. System scope a.) Will these installations be standalone systems?

Answer A: No. All camera feeds will go to the three separate facilities Bldg 23020 36 SFS BDOC (Video feeds and camera controls), Bldg 20001 36 SFS Alternate BDOC (Video feeds and camera controls), and Bldg 23028 36 MSG Command Post (Video feeds only).

b.) Will servers, NVRs, storage, etc., need to be provided?

Answer B: Yes, at Bldg 23020 36 SFS BDOC server room.

c.) Will client workstations need to provide? If so, are specifications available?

Answer C: Yes workstations will need to be provided to Bldg 23020 36 SFS BDOC, will be required to have camera controls, video feeds, and monitor installed. Bldg 20001 36 SFS Alternate DBOC, will be required to have camera controls, video feeds, and monitor installed. Bldg 23028 36 MSG Command Post, will only require video feed not controls and monitor installed.

1. A command and control center at Bldg 23020 (BDOC) and Bldg 20001 (Alt) for all cameras to connect for PTZ controls.

2. A video recording device that is capable of 30 days of recording and downloading video to DVD Bldg 23020 (BDOC).

3. A spot monitor and 42 inch flat screen display at Bldg 23020 (BDOC) and Bldg 20001 (Alt).

4. Video feed of the PTZ and video from Bldg 23020 BDOC to Bldg 20001 Alt.

5. Video feed of the PTZ from Bldg 23020 BDOC to Bldg 23028 36 MSG Command Post UCC Room.

7. Existing cameras Question: Can the model of the existing cameras be provided?

Answer: We do not currently have cameras installed. All IDS equipment including cameras must be selected from the Non-nuclear Intrusion Detection System Equipment List. The most current Non-nuclear IDSEL is attached.
