1.1 The contractor shall provide all labor, special tools, equipment, material and transportation necessary to install a brand new, improved design nitrogen distillation column GCS P/N 951450-001 shall be installed into the Coldbox. The improved column design shall provide adequate protection to avoid potential weld fatigue during future thermal & pressure cycles associated with the normal function of a cryogenic distillation column.
2.0 COLDBOX INTERNAL PIPING REPLACEMENT, COLDBOX STRUCTURAL REPAIRS, SYSTEM CONTROL COMPONENTS, AND ASU OPERATIONAL TEST
2.1 Specific areas that must be addressed during Recovery of the ColdBox:
· New nitrogen column shall be installed
· Internal connecting piping shall be replaced.
· Nitrogen distillation column replacement
· Cryogenic process control valves shall be replaced.
· Structural material and panels require replacing
· ColdBox shall be fully functional (equal to manufacturer specs).
· Transfer pump overhaul (Shall operate at maximum efficiency).
· Full ColdBox system internal pressure recertification test shall be performed to ensure system leak-free operation. (The pressure test shall verify that the entire ColdBox is free from external leaks and the internal distillation components hold pressure in their respective circuits prior to performing a complete system checkout operation.)
2.2 Once all the repairs are completed, an operational checkout of the entire ASU shall be conducted before handing the system back to the USAF for future use.
