FA5240-15-Q-M033 Site Visit Q&A
Q: Will any of the canopies be replaced?
A: The requirement is for removing debris from the underside and to remove mold/mildew on the outside bottom edge of all canopies. The contractor shall not replace any canopy until approved by the Contracting Officer.
Q: Where will work be performed?
A: Cleaning is authorized on site; it is the contractor’s responsibility to provide all necessary equipment, water and approved cleaning products that do not cause damage to the canopy. Electrical outlets are available at each sunshade.
Q: What needs to be replaced?
A: All hardware, cable guards, cables, outlet covers, lightbulbs if necessary, and brackets. An itemized list will be provided with quantities and descriptions. Lightning rods on tent 1 and 2 as stated on SOW.
Q: Will any items need to be removed of corrosion?
A: Corrosion on all the lightning rod brackets shall be removed. Contractor shall remove all corrosion on all APU exhaust deflector brackets and shall replace hardware as specified in the item list provided.
Q: What is the required completion date?
A: All work, including cleanup, shall be completed NLT 31 January 2016.
Q: What type of material will be required for all new hardware?
A: the suggested material for all hardware, including wires, shall be galvanized steel or better.
Q: Will a containment plan be required for the cleaning of each canopy?
A: Yes, the contractor shall provide a containment plan IAW the attached containment requirement description.
Q: Can the canopies be taken off the frame for cleaning?
A: No, contractor shall not remove the canopy from the frame.
