374th Contracting Squadron, Yokota AB Q&A
ICS Server Upgrade
Q 1. What period of performance and how many option periods is the Government considering for the
Maintenance Management Plan?
A 1. The period of performance will be for one year. There will be no options for this requirement.
Q 2. The Pricing and Schedule spreadsheet does not include a CLIN for Maintenance Management; will another amendment be issued to address this?
A 2. The resulting contract will not include a CLIN for maintenance management. The intention of the maintenance management portion in the solicitation is to convey the need to provide a technical support plan describing how the following will be accomplished: “Must be able to provide either phone or email technical support in either English or Japanese. Technical support must be available Monday –
Friday, from 0900 – 1730, JST (Japanese Standard Time)”, considering the 1 year Warranty for all parts, labor, and technical support.
Q 3. What procurement strategy will be used for the Maintenance Management CLIN (CPFF, FFP, or
T&M)?
A 3. Please see answer to question 2.
Q 4. Will a separate ODC CLIN be added for any repair parts and/or travel required when executing the tasks in the Guidelines for Maintenance Service?
A 4. Please see answer to question 2.
Q 5. Is the Government expecting contractor personnel performing maintenance services to be on site or on call?
A 5. On call.
Q 6. Will there be an industry day for interested vendors to view the site?
A 6. If requested by the contractor, a site visit can be scheduled.
Q 7. Can the Government supply pictures of the existing system setup (rack layout, room size, power availability, etc.)?
A 7. Please see attached pictures of the existing setup.
Q 8. All have to submit the filled out "Pricing Schedule n ExhibitSVS.xlsx". Is my understanding correct?
A 8. We are asking for both the Pricing Schedule n ExhibitSVS.xlsx and the maintenance management plan. The maintenance manage plan should state how will the contractor achieve the technical support
(local phone number to contact, response times, etc.)
Q 9. Although "PWS SERVER REPLACEMENT.doc" designates Windows Server 19 (OS), "ICS Server upgrade Specifications.docx" does Windows Server 16. Which is correct?
A 9. It should be Windows Server 19 (OS), which will be provided by the government.
