7
Question
Each service has a performance period of 24 hours? Can the Contractor request to extend the days to accomplish the work if they cannot perform within the approved period?
Answer
No, each service does not have a performance period of 24 hours total hours. The hours of operation are from 0800-1500 and should suffice to complete the shredding for that day. It is important to note this does not include the time for the contractor to come on site to DFAS. The Contractor is expected to arrive as DFAS at 0800 to begin the shredding service. A full extension of the day will not be granted to the Contractor to perform. However, a preliminary notice will be given to the Contractor of the amount of paper to be shredded in order to determine if a change in end time for the service is necessary. An additional one hour may be granted to the Contractor to finish shredding. This time period will suffice for each service during the year.
8
Question
How far in advance can the Contractor schedule for each quarterly service?
Answer
The PWS dated 9 March 2012 states that the Contractor will contact the GR 10 days prior to schedule the service, but it will state the GR will contact the Contractor at least 20 days prior to each quarterly service for the schedule.

An amendment (SF 30) will be issued to correct mistakes in the PWS in a timely manner.
