Q&A #2 to Solicitation: FA520518QB045 35th Contraction Squadron, Misawa Air Base, Japan

For further questions or concerns, please email: christopher.unger.2@us.af.mil

Question 1:

Currently, KVM extenders are not listed on the equipment list. How many KVM extenders are required?

Would you require any new monitors?

Answer:

2 KVM extenders with audio are on order and will be here prior to the installation to connect the VCC and the Wyse terminal to the monitor in the alt BDOC. New Monitors are available to be mounted on the wall.

Question 2:

Currently, an UPS/battery packs are not listed on the equipment list. Is this a requirement or do you have an UPS on-hand that you want us to install?

Answer:

8 hours of back-up power is required. Currently, we use a 12V battery solution (NP18-12B 12V 17.2 Ah) trickle charged by an Altronix OLS-180 to meet our 8 hour backup power at most sites.

Question 3:

Do any of the 126 facilities require AES firmware upgrades?

Answer:

As long as the new V-5s installed are the same version/revision date, we do not envision the 1500's needing firmware upgrades.

Question 4:

Does 126 represent how many devices there are or is the number of V5's/1500's bigger?

Answer:

126 is number of alarmed facilities typically with one data transmitter with a total of ~145 . The majority having UHS/DES-1600's, ~20 AES-1500's, ~ 3 AES-V5's mailto:christopher.unger.2@us.af.mil
