Innovation Lab Room 149 at Bldg. 10480
Questions
1. Please confirm if GWB walls are to be textured. No texture, finished according to SOW.
2. Please confirm what material will make up the sills at the windows. GWB
3. Can information be provided for the hallway wall that will need to be anchored every 48”. The existing wall thickness suggest that there may more present than just standard stud framing. Eliminated per SOW Rev. 2
4. One of the doors to be replaced is fully grouted. Is there a potential CMU wall present? Also will as-builts be made available? CMU is present in the hallway wall. As-builts will be made available upon request.
5. SOW 4.2.5. indicates 14 gauge stud. This will be a special order item that will increase cost and lead time. Will a lighter gauge stud be considered? Yes, a lighter gauge will be considered.
6. SOW 1.9 indicates that the contractor is to provide construction drawings for review before work starts. Will CADD generated drawings and PDF need to be made available for review and closeout of the project? Initial construction drawings are not required to be in CADD, as-builts must adhere to JOINT BASE
ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON CAD/GIS RECORD DRAWING AS-BUILT STANDARD
provided with SOW.
7. If ACM is encountered how many test samples is the contractor to assume? 1 test sample per item or material.
8. On the revised drawings sheet AD-1 note 4 indicates a CMU wall in the corridor wall. With new wall build up of 14 gauge metal stud with plywood under the GWB what is the expected length of the CMU wall to be that will receive the new build up? Also will this area receive the 6”x4”x1/4” steel angle? If so is there an expected length or should the proposals assume that it will be the entire length of the room. The CMU corridor wall will be furred out and finished according to Section 4.6 of SOW.
9. Are any window blinds to considered? No
10. Will the texture be removed if there are to be designs painted on the walls? If not clean paint lines will not be achievable. No texture, finished according to Section 4.6 of SOW.
