Questions and Answers
Q1: Please confirm if the existing equipment racks in each location will be able to provide the minimum separation of 1 meter required between Red and Black components
A1: The minimum separation, to my knowledge, is .5 meter. I believe, with .5 meter separation, the current racks will suffice.
Q2: Please confirm if new equipment racks should be provided to maintain the minimum separation of 1 meter required between Red and Black components.
A2: If separation cannot be met with current racks, new racks should be provided.
Q3: Please confirm if secure KVM switching infrastructure will be required in each room location to accommodate a single operator station with keyboard, mouse, two monitors, and CAC. This would allow one operator to access either the NIPR PC or SIPR PC from one set of controls during high and low states from an existing operator desk. The alternative option would be directly running keyboard, mouse, and
CAC from each pc to different stations.
A3: Yes, A secure KVM is required.
Q4: Please confirm if over floor raceway will need to be included be from operator stations to equipment rack locations.
A4: There is currently an in/over floor raceway, if this in not satisfactory for this project, a new over floor raceway will need to be included.
Q5: Please verify quantity and model of existing speakers in each location if possible so proper amplification may be selected.
A5: Amplifiers should be based on the old hardware and the hardware to be installed. Speaker models and numbers will require additional time.
Q6: Please confirm if new displays should be specified for all locations onsite or if any existing displays will be reused
A6: The displays are provided for room 201, 302, and B100. These displays are not to be replaced.
Make and model can be provided for power‐off/power‐on coding
Q7: Please clarify for the A2C2 conference room, if the smaller side displays will be mounted in a straight line (8x1 array), atop one another (4x4 array), or in a different configuration.
A7: The displays are mounted high on the side walls, four on each side.
Q8: Please clarify opening size where displays will reside in the event slightly larger or smaller displays are sourced.
A8: The area will accommodate slightly larger of smaller displays.
Q9: Is the government going to provide the Haivision set‐top box?
A9: The Vendor shall provide the Haivision Set‐Top Box part number S‐PLAY‐2000‐B.
Q10: Is the government asking for new KVM switches?
A10: Note: this is a change from the site visit. The government will supply the KVM switch for each room. Vendor can choose between DVI or HDMI KVMs.
