FA5000-18-R-0052 – Repair York Chillers

1. Number 1: Attachment 3 is missing from the solicitation.

a. Answer: Attachment 3 is linked in PDF form at the bottom of the combined synopsis/solicitation. Attachment 3 has also been posted separately.

2. Please provide model and serial numbers for each chiller.

a. Answer: Amendment 2 has added a picture of the data label.

3. The solicitation is not clear who is to provide the items stated for replacement.

a. Contractor will provide any and all items to replace defective items.

4. Is the quote to include normal maintainable mechanical joints and other leak repairs to be made on T&M ?

a. Answer: All leaks on sensors, driers, fittings and associated equipment. Any leaks found on compressors or major components to be determined additionally.

5. Due to the fact that R-407c is a blend and you cannot top off the charge a complete new charge will be required for each circuit if there is a leak. Pleases advise who is responsible for supplying refrigerant.

a. Answer: Contractor will provide refrigerant and also provide data for leak loss calculation to comply with 773d CES HVAC shop refrigerant management program.

6. Recovery cylinders, will you be responsible for supplying the cylinders and disposal of the refrigerant removed from the chillers. All disposal of refrigerants will be conducted by contractor in compliance with Clean Air Act.
